Government of Italy

Dear Wharton Alumni and Friends,

As the Chairman of the Organizing Commitee it is my pleasure to welcome you to Milan for the 41st Wharton Global Alumni Forum.

Switching Gears: an ambitious title for a forum that will be significant for a number of reasons.

This is the first forum ever to be held in Italy, at a time when Italy, Europe, and the world face challenges of enormous, unprecedented magnitude.
World class leaders and academics will come together to discuss how the future will be shaping, and what can be done to make a productive, positive impact.

In addition to the keynote speeches, the panel discussions and the master classes we will be offering a number of activities that are designed to give you a taste of the Italian experience. Such activities are meant to be an occasion to network with our colleagues in a social, pleasant set up, to nurture our minds with something beautiful and surprising, and to foster lateral thinking and innovation.

I do hope you will be able to join us on May 17-18, 2012 for an event that is shaping up to be one of a kind.

Corrado Passera, WG`80
