Domenico Siniscalco is Vice Chairman, Morgan Stanley, Country Head of Italy and Head of Government Coverage EMEA. He also serves as President of Assogestioni (Italy’s fund managers association). From July 2001 to July 2004 Domenico Siniscalco was Director General of the Italian Treasury, to then become Minister of Economy & Finance in Italy (July 2004 to September 2005). In this capacity he was also a member of the European Council of Economy and Finance Ministers, member of the G7/G8, and Governor of the IMF. Domenico Siniscalco developed a successful academic career at Cambridge, Louvain la Neuve, Johns Hopkins, and at Torino University. For several years he has been lead author of IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, winner of Nobel Peace Prize 2008). Between 1997 and 2001 he was part of the Board of Directors for various companies such as Telecom Italia and Eni and is now a Director of the Grosvenor Group in London. For over a decade he directed the Eni Enrico Mattei Foundation where he is now part of the Board of Directors. He was also Chairman of the Collegio Carlo Alberto and member of the Board of Directors for the Cini and Querini Stampalia Foundations. Domenico Siniscalco is author of various academic books and more than 70 Economic Research Papers. For many years he served as front page editorial commentator for “Il Sole 24 Ore” and “La Stampa”. Mr. Siniscalco holds a Law Degree from Torino University and a Ph.D in Economics from Cambridge University.
