Yong Kwek Ping is the CEO of Inventis Investment, a leading private equity firm based in China and one of the pioneers and largest foreign PE firms investing in the greater China region with more than USD3.0bn of growth capital under management. Yong launched two new RMB4.0bn Chinese-currency RMB funds in 2011 with outbound investment strategy focuses on global natural resources and energy sector.

Yong was received by President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China in Beijing in May 2005. Having more than twelve years of living and private equity investment experience in China, Yong's investment strategy and track records are widely recognized. Yong is also a frequent speaker at international investment conferences.

Yong teaches Private Equity courses at the Singapore Management University (SMU) and is the author of a new book Private Equity in China - Challenges and Opportunities (Wiley, 2012). Yong is a Senior Fellow of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
